The last Concert at Halkaer Kro was on Sunday at lunch time after which there was more food and beer and the usual festival goodbyes. The next day we caught up on some well-needed sleep and in the evening - Hyram and I went for a 30km bike ride around the lake. (It was supposed to be a 20km ride but 5km of it was in the wrong direction.) Another huge meal with the Chileans, and I notice that after a couple of days with them Marcus is speaking more or less fluent Spanish!
The Chileans are amazing. Every day starts with a round of handshakes and hugs, and every departure the same. They are genuinely fond of us and we jam together and try to tell each other stories with our little bits of each other's language. Eskil's house rings with laughter and music. We plan vast tours of each other's countries and drink more wine.

The next day we are up early to drive to Arhus airport and fly to Stanstead airport in England. Our time in Denmark is not over yet but we are due in Wales to meet up with our old friend, Karen Tweed.
The Chaps are Hyram Ballard, John Dodd, Marcus Turner and Mike Moroney (the author of these pages), an acoustic string band featuring original songs and odd material from last century. Find out more about The Chaps here and listen to some of their music on their MySpace site here
